A WDA Town Improvement grant encouraged the owners of the adjacent store, Seconds Ahead, to purchase this property, which had remained vacant for over 25 years. The grant of £40,000 has prompted the owners to invest a further £300,000 to extend both properties to the rear. This property has now become ‘the flag ship’ store for the national chain Seconds Ahead. Building on this success the company have now bought a large redundant factory immediately behind the store, which they intend to make the headquarters and the distribution depot for their 42 shops
