Tregaron Heritage Scheme
The Aim of the Scheme
The aim of the Scheme is to improve the appearance of the town of Tregaron and to attract visitors and stimulate economic activity and employment. The Scheme aims to achieve this in a number of ways :-
1. Providing advice and grant aid
- Provide advice and information on how historically correct building techniques and renovation can enhance their businesses and the town.
- Support the existing businesses in the designated area with grant aid (administered within State Aid regulations) for the improvement of their frontages to heritage standards.
- Support new businesses in currently vacant properties within the designated area with grant aid (again administered within State Aid regulations)
2. Promoting visitor events
- Funding 9 themed festivals in Tregaron over the project period.
3. Promoting training/education
- Holding training and demonstration events for local groups and heritage professionals
4. Improving local facilities
- The improvement of a limited number of local facilities either directly or indirectly through the project.

Welsh Assembly Local regeneration Fund
Cadw (now part of the National Assembly)
The Welsh Development Agency (now part of the National Assembly)
Ceredigion County Council
Formerly Curiad Caron & now The Tregaron Tourism Co through voluntary time contributions
